Eat healthy fats

Switching towards a balanced and nutritious diet is somewhat hard but not impossible as you have to cut down unhealthy fats like pizzas, burgers, kinds of pasta and all junk food and drinks.

Avocados, cheese, dark chocolates, nuts, chia seeds, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, full-fat yogurt etc, are healthy fats that can be included in your diet.

Say no to added sugar

All those yummy juice cans/tetra packs, cold drinks, candies, soda and bakery products should be avoided. As these food/drinks contain added sugar which harms our health. It results in unhealthy weight gain and various health problems like diabetes and heart disease. Read nutritious label given on the packs before consuming.

Fill your diet with full of fiber

Fiber is a healthy food which includes vegetables, whole grains, beans and fruits. Eat more and more salads, a bowl of vegetables, oats, semolina and porridge to keep you full for a longer time. Fiber-rich food also helps to lose weight.

Consume protein-rich breakfast

Protein intake in the morning helps you avoid unhealthy snacking and improve appetite control throughout the day. You can include Protein rich food in your diet that includes tofu, chickpeas, varieties of beans, green peas, lentils, quinoa, sprouted grains, oats, chia seeds, soy milk, nuts, vegetables- broccoli, spinach, asparagus, artichokes, potatoes, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts and fruits- guava, cherimoyas, mulberries, blackberries, nectarines and bananas.

Prepare a schedule and strictly follow it

Your schedule should include your workout routine, meals and some small healthy snack breaks and most importantly don’t forget to include glasses of water to keep yourself hydrated. Skip bad habits like smoking, excessive caffeine and alcohol.

  • Switch to whole-wheat or whole-grain bread.
  • Use mustard on sandwiches instead of mayo.
  • Make your oatmeal with skim or 1% milk instead of water.
